Put on your apron and grab a knife, we're about to get cooking! Let's tour the traditional market and see how the locals shop as we learn about chiles, local produce and other ingredients essential to Mexican Cuisine. When we return to the kitchen, we will roast some chiles on the comal and begin to make some traditional and unique salsas and condiments served to compliment Mexican dishes.

Our classes are great for the novice or experienced cook. Whether it’s one-on-one or a private group, you will learn basic cutting and preparation techniques and you will leave with a set of recipes so you can return to your hometown and wow your guests with new flavors. Learn how to make Mexican salsas and work with different types of chiles. In this hands-on cooking class, you will prepare a variety of salsas and condiments used to accompany typical Mexican dishes. You will sample all of our creations with some regional craft beer. You can also visit an authentic Mexican market while learning about new fruits, vegetables and chiles. In Oaxaca, we also offer a special class with a regional chef along with a cheese-making demonstration.

You can schedule private one-on-one classes or an afternoon for your group. Cooking classes can arranged for Mexico City, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Tulum. The class lasts about 3-4 hours and the optional market tour is about an additional 1-1.5 hours of time. Please contact us to schedule your private class.
